Sat, 19 January 2008 Beans and Your Health This week on Fitness Rocks we look at a recent study from the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition about beans and the risk of type 2 diabetes. Seventy-five million Americans have either type 2 diabetes or a condition called pre-diabetes. The World Health Organization estimates that up to ninety percent of cases of type 2 diabetes can be avoided by a healthy diet, regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, and not smoking.
